    About us:

Established in 2004, the Women’s Cell at G.S. College of Commerce, Wardha, stands as a dedicated pillar of support, actively fostering a gender-equal environment for its female students. With a clear vision of holistic development, the cell strategically focuses its efforts on key areas crucial for the empowerment and well-being of young women.

Driven by the core principle of gender equality, the Women’s Cell tirelessly works to create a campus culture where every student feels valued, respected, and empowered to reach her full potential. Understanding the significance of personal safety and security, the Women’s Cell also prioritizes self-defense training, empowering students with practical skills and enhancing their sense of confidence and resilience.Furthermore, acknowledging the vital link between physical and mental well-being and academic success, the cell actively addresses health-related issues through awareness programs, workshops, and access to relevant resources.

Presently, Dr. Humera Quazi coordinating the  activities of the Women’s Cell. Principal, Dr. Arundhati Ninawe’s proactive encouragement serves as a constant source of motivation, enabling the cell to organize a diverse range of impactful programs and initiatives that directly benefit the female student community.

Through its consistent and focused endeavors, the Women’s Cell at G.S. College of Commerce, Wardha, continues to play a pivotal role in shaping confident, capable, and empowered young women, contributing significantly to their personal and professional growth and fostering a truly inclusive and equitable academic environment.

      Objectives:

  • Promoting Gender Equality: To actively work towards creating a campus environment free from gender bias and discrimination, ensuring equal opportunities for all students.
  • Empowerment of Women Students: To provide resources, support, and platforms that empower female students to develop their full potential academically, professionally, and personally.
  • Raising Awareness: To conduct awareness programs, seminars, and workshops on gender-related issues, including legal rights, social justice, and gender sensitivity.
  • Skill Development: To organize programs focused on developing various skills in female students, such as communication, leadership, entrepreneurship, and self-defence.
  • Promoting Health and Well-being: To organize initiatives and provide information related to the physical, mental, and emotional health of female students.
  • Facilitating Holistic Development: To contribute to the overall holistic development of female students, nurturing their intellectual, social, emotional, and ethical growth.                                                                                                                                                                                    Activities of Women Cell:

  • Celebrating International Women’s Day through impactful events that recognize and uplift women’s contributions.
  • Arranging vibrant food festivals that bring students together through shared flavors and traditions.
